How to Set Up Price Alerts on Binance
What Price Alerts Do
The cryptocurrency market operates 24/7, and no one can watch the screen at all times. Binance App's built-in price alert feature automatically sends you notifications when a specific price is reached, so you never miss an important buying or selling opportunity.
Price alerts are different from take-profit/stop-loss orders. Take-profit/stop-loss orders automatically execute trades when a price is reached, while price alerts simply notify you — whether to act is entirely up to you. This feature is ideal when you want to keep an eye on a certain price level but haven't decided whether to trade yet.
If you haven't installed the Binance App yet, you can get the latest version from Download App. The price alert feature works best on the App since it can reach you instantly through mobile push notifications.
Detailed Steps to Set Up Price Alerts
Setting up from the market page:
Open the Binance App and navigate to the trading pair page you want to monitor, such as BTC/USDT. Above the candlestick chart or next to the trading pair name, there's usually a small bell icon — tap it to enter the price alert settings.
In the settings, you'll need to configure the following: Choose the alert type — "Price Reached" is the most commonly used, which triggers an alert when the price rises to or falls to your target price. "Price Change Percentage" triggers when the price moves up or down by more than your set percentage within a given time frame. After setting your target price or percentage, tap confirm.
Setting up from the watchlist:
In your watchlist (favorites), long-press the trading pair you're interested in, and a "Set Alert" option will appear in the menu. Tap it to configure the alert parameters. This method is convenient for setting alerts for multiple coins at once.
Notification methods:
Binance price alerts are sent via App push notifications by default. Make sure your phone allows Binance App notifications — Android users should check Binance App's notification permissions in system settings, while iOS users should enable notifications in "Settings" > "Notifications" > "Binance." Some alerts can also be sent via email, which you can select in the alert settings.
Managing and Optimizing Your Price Alerts
You can view all your configured price alerts in the App, and modify or delete any alerts you no longer need. Binance has a limit on the number of alerts per account, so it's best to keep only the alerts you truly need and regularly clean up triggered or outdated ones.
A tip when setting alerts: don't set the alert price too close to the current price, or normal market fluctuations will trigger alerts constantly, defeating the purpose. Generally, it's recommended to keep at least a 3%–5% gap between the alert price and the current price.
If you want more advanced alert configurations, such as setting multiple tiered price alerts simultaneously, you can use the Binance web version alongside the App — the web version offers a more intuitive and convenient alert management interface.
